City Year

City Year AmeriCorps members devote 11 months of service to make an impact in the lives of students and communities. Members will receive professional development and career coaching. New this year, City Year members may dual enroll in the Relay Teaching Residency. As a City Year member dually enrolled in Relay, members’ service year is the first year of the two-year Relay master’s degree. Launching its Baton Rouge campus in Fall 2016, Relay’s Teaching Residency is a two-year program offering a unique and powerful pathway for aspiring teachers to excellent career teachers. Relay graduates earn a master’s degree and become qualified as a full-time teacher. Learn More

Southern University

Launching in Summer 2016, Southern University’s Master of Arts program focuses on developing urban teacher leadership for 1st-5th grades.
