Well-behaved people rarely make history. A quote from Marilyn Monroe.
What’s your most memorable NSBR moment?
I have two:
1) Chris Meyer addressing a group of board members/community leaders during NSBR Summit. I was new to the organization, and was so moved listening to him share about why he and NSBR are so committed to this work.
2) When my house flooded, the NSBR team took a day to come and help me demo my house. Following the flood, the team – and particularly Chris – were amazingly supportive, offering to come out again, help with my move.

What sets NSBR apart?
Our position in the community. I feel we sit in a very unique place. We have such strong leadership and such a strong board, we have the right connections to help move our mission forward. Yet, we remain autonomous enough to be able to walk the path we believe in without being completely controlled by politics.
