Ha ha! Well, I haven’t been here long. But it was when they realized that I didn’t know who John Spain was.
What are your favorite go-to locations to recharge and gain inspiration/motivation?
The beach is my all time favorite place to get away and relax. My husband and I once drove last-minute to the beach one Friday – just to spend one night, so I could hear the ocean while I slept.
What is the funniest joke you’ve heard recently?
Jokes? I’m not sure. But comedy one-liners, like “so much room for activities” from Step Brothers, are quoted quite often in my home.
What’s some insider knowledge that only people in your line of work have?
How many different types of charter schools there are, and how they differentiate.
What’s about to get much better?
The school options for families in our areas and the access to information.
Who would play you in a movie of your life?
Sandra Bullock – but not super-cool Sandra – the quirkier one.

That our one goal is to provide better education without bias.
