What’s a quote that motivates you throughout the day?Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly.
What’s your most memorable NSBR moment?
Ha ha! Well, I haven't been here long. But it was when they realized that I didn't know who John Spain was.
What are your favorite go-to locations to recharge and gain inspiration/motivation?
The beach is my all time favorite place to get away and relax. My husband and I once drove last-minute to the beach one Friday - just to spend one night, so I could hear the ocean while I slept.
What is the funniest joke you’ve heard recently?
Jokes? I'm not sure. But comedy one-liners, like "so much room for activities" from Step Brothers, are quoted quite often in my home.
What’s some insider knowledge that only people in your line of work have?
How many different types of charter schools there are, and how they differentiate.
What’s about to get much better?
The school options for families in our areas and the access to information.
Who would play you in a movie of your life?
Sandra Bullock - but not super-cool Sandra - the quirkier one.
What sets NSBR apart?
That our one goal is to provide better education without bias.
What bit of trivia do you know that is very interesting but also very useless?
I have quite a large amount of useless Harry Potter knowledge.
What really needs to be modernized?
The roads in Baton Rouge!!
What topic could you spend hours talking about?
Home design and decor (I may be a little obsessed!).
What handy tips or tricks have you picked up from your NSBR position?
I have been unequivocally converted from windows to Mac.
What do you do to make the world a better p
lace?
Do the best with the charges I have, and try to raise kind humans who enjoy the little things.
What’s your favorite thing about Baton Rouge?
The food, hands down.
What’s the best lesson you’ve learned from a work of fiction?
